Someone said that simplicity helps to discover incognizable things. This idea is also reflected in SEO best tactic. Remember that the key point in SEO tactic is inferred in simplicity. It means that while talking to an SEO costumer is to learn how to explain SEO in the simplest ways.

When you are dealing with a newbie or SEO dilatant be short and simple in your explanation of SEO: it should takes not more than 30 seconds or even less. Otherwise you’ll fail. You have to to figure out how to net things out into higher level business concepts.

1. What makes link building so vital?: The simplest way of explanation is “Link building is important because links mean votes for your site. The more votes you have the better your rankings will be. This is why DMOZ ranks more highly than other directories sites”.

2. All links are not made equal: “Search engines value the relevance of the link highly. Links from unrelated sites don’t hurt you, but they are useless in comparison with links from a relevant site. Also, a link from Search engine site counts more than a link from Jim’s marketing blog, because Search engine site itself has more links pointing to it.

3. Why link building is an endless activity: The Internet itself generates high-level competition where the strongest and goal-seeking wins. Link building must continually be made because at least one of your competitors will do so. If you don’t catch up your competitor you’ll loose this game.

4. Why search engines have fixed issues: It is absolutely possible to server up different content at http://yourdomain.com, and it’s possible for that content to be controlled by different people. As a result, search engines need to treat them as separate pages, and this makes one version a duplicate of the other.

5. What search engines do with duplicate content: Google wants to list one copy of a piece of content in their SERP. So they pick one version of the content to include in their results for a particular query.

6. How is duplicate content discovered?: Evidently that the same copies are treated as duplicate content, but there are also near copies. Common menus and boilerplate on a site are ignored, and the page’s unique content is evaluated to determine the level of similarity with other pages. If search engine decides that your content exceeds fixed norm it means that your content is duplicate.

7. Bought links are bad links: Normally search engines count links to your site as editorial votes for its quality. A purchased link is compensated, and therefore likely not editorial. While finding paid links algorithmically may be hard.

8. SEO is strategic: To learn how to market your site (to get links) on the web is important to Search engine optimization. SEO can help you understand what are the best links for your site and where you can find them, and this can affect your marketing strategy and the content you offer on the site.

The search engine algorithms seem to be pretty complicated and unpublished, there is plenty about SEO that is difficult to understand. But while explaining all this to a non SEO person, be simple and short. It really helps! Relible software development process is crucial…

It’s known that any blogs/sites can’t be successfully promoted without backlinks, incoming links, out coming links and everything that’s connected with links in general.

One of my friends John ( I told you about him ) has been working with one big site. He is responsible for buying links. Of course you know that Google feels negative to this process but with all the talk of Google’s crack down on paid links I want to write with John’s help about the best ways of buying links.

There are many people having blogs who fail to find high-ranked sites that share their links. It’s not difficult to understand why this happens. The links from good site mean that your blog will be promoted and improved soon. There might also be a chance that the position of your blog will shoot up within a week. But where can a newbie find good links? The answer is to buy them. I have made a list of some tips that can be helpful in your link buying campaign.

You have to buy links from sites that are highly relevant to your web site content. Otherwise you will do senseless work.

If the site you are buying links from already has more than 5 paid links on the page, leave it.

If the site labels the links as “sponsored” or “paid links” or anything like that, leave it.

Your links should be on the visible place of the site. Don’t buy footer or sidebar links. The best is to buy a single link from a relevant page.

Anchor text is crucial. Try to make your anchor text look natural. If you buy links on 50 pages, and they all use the same anchor text, there will be no good.

Elude any paid link where the seller is also an affiliate for the broker.

You have to check if the page ranks well for its targeted keywords. If it doesn’t rank well for its own keywords, it won’t help you.

The links ought to be at different pages. Don’t buy lots of links for your homepage.

Remember that contextual format is best. A link that is part of a highly relevant paragraph will be more valuable.

The last is that you don’t have to worry about Page Rank. A brand new page may be highly relevant to your industry and rank well, yet the PR shows 0/10. Don’t pay attention to this. There is no keeping up with him

Hope my advices will be helpful!

Human is recognized thanks to communication…

  Oscar Wilde

Not long ago I read an interesting and thought-provoking article. The theme is turning around safety of the British children. The thing is parents are afraid of various online threats that may be harmful during coming Summer holidays. You know our children are always in danger while sitting in front of PC and communicating with peers. It’s known and banal. Problem-free and well-to-do the British are just afraid of gadgets and innovations their children are absorbed in. Interestingly that today eye-to-eye contact is being died out; the children of the well-off parents prefer communicating via net instead of alive contact ( honestly I feel that this problem is disastrous and it really can lead to catastrophic child’s mind consequences). Of course we know that the Internet isn’t just for fun and money but also for cyber bullies and pedophiles looking to groom children through chat rooms or social networking websites.

Parents fail constantly to control and guard their children’s online activities. That’s why in this respect children are on their own; they’re exposed to any damage that online communication can generate. According to psychological point of view “ constant online intercourse gives rise to the complex of inferiority and unsociability of a child. He just wrongly perceives the environment he lives in and becomes unable to act naturally. I should say that your child must be prevented from PC, Internet, TV, radio etc. It doesn’t mean you have to hide all this from your child but you need to control your child’s pastime and force him to read to go play piano. I think it’s better than upbringing a little stupid bastard that will give nothing to the world and society except stupidity and vulgarity.

Let’s come to the British children. Amazingly but clever and attentive people could solve that online problem. They have invented an innovation called “XGate”.

XGate has the potential to effectively reduce any offensive online communication, without parents having to permanently pry at their children’s activity.

The XGate monitors real time children’s online activity and signals parents if relevant by email or sms on their mobile phone to inappropriate material and/or behavior in terms of website content, chat room activity and emails and their attachments. It’s very convenient thing.

This program can:

- If your child wants or accidentally enters the pornography site don’t worry. The program will block it until the child decides to visit another more peaceful site.
- it even sends email or sms with the website address to parents’ mobile phones in order they can decide if this site is appropriate for their children
- the program has the function of blocking emails with pornographic or bullying content and attachments via its intelligent email filter
- it allows the parent to remotely control their child’s computer by using simple replies to any email or sms alerts they receive, including the ability to remotely shutdown the child’s computer
- it controls access to specific websites at pre-agreed times to children, e.g. education websites only between 18:00 and 20:00 for support with school assignments

So it’s up to you to decide how to control your children!

Day by day we’re heard about endless benefits and advantages of making money online. Each article says the same: make money sitting at home, make a fortune without efforts and so on. Don’t you see false pretence in these confident slogans? I should say that you can’t create a decent income without stress. Of course you might be lucky and talented gay and make something extraordinary but who can remember at least one extraordinary business that’s made not long ago? Walking across the street I try to hide my look from endless ads I strongly feel that all the niches are occupied; the competition today as in jungle. The strongest wins. But don’t pay much attention to my pessimistic style. To be honest I’m just trying to be real. Let’s enumerate some evident disadvantages of ‘online money boom’. I have two friends that earn money online.

From the first sight everything is brilliant; they’re successful businessmen and they really like what they do. One of them, Jim, has a great blog and gets monet from Adsense and different marketing proposals, what’s more he writes articles for one famous and rich site. Another, Ted, is busy with his forum and the spot on his site-forum costs as a good used car. But let’s come back to disadvantages. Firstly, both of them look as beer barrels. They have huge bellies and short-length feet. What’s more due to their slow and inactive lifestyle they feel as 60 years dolts. They feel endless pain in their limbs and backbones, plus sleeplessness and piles. Do you like this?

To add on them always tells me ( we meet 1 time a month, because he’s absolutely absorbed in his job ) about his failures in his private life. He just can’t be in time for domestic activities and relationships with his wife, children and relatives. Interestingly that he pays a fortune for visiting his own psychiatrist. ( they meet each other 1 time a week ). The worst thing for me is that I feel I’m loosing my best friend. We have nothing to talk about. He usually speaks drivels concerning his projects and endless problems. To be honest I’m fed up with it. He has got rid of books and just sits in front of the screen and works. Money is good thing…but robots instead of friends are the worst I’ve ever come across.

That’s not all. There are times when bloggers and people earning money online become disillusioned and frustrated because of some troubles they can’t overcome. They sink into depression and wait until something changes. They can’t control themselves and it’s the worst. In my complaint I avoid the atmosphere in which these people usually live. It’s a simple stinking rubbish-bin. If a blogger has no a person who is responsible for cleaning, he’s bound to endless junk masses.

My point of view can be perceived as too negative and exaggerated but I got added evidence that I was right as to blogger’s lifestyle is concerned. Of course, I do believe that there are many gays that can control themselves and are able to combine job with private life. Despite all this I wish you were successful and rational in your business.

Someone said that everyone is special ( to be honest I don’t believe it ), everyone is the personality and so on. But some things make us equal to a certain extend – all of us want to be rich and have a mansion in Spain or in great France. Is it primitive and mercantile? Of course! Remember that despite all your personal characteristics you’re quite predictable creature. Money, money, money…must be funny.

There were times when people were divided into groups: the rich and the poor, the powerful and the overtopped. From the first sight it was quite natural. Why not? But our world is turning round and changing. Due to this fact it suggest a new approach to many things. You know that in theory each of us may become a millionaire although he comes from poor circle of society. It doesn’t play any role. So as the permanent ads say virtually everyone is bound to become a rich person. It goes without saying intellectual people avoid such lousy ads. In order to find a well-paid and respectful job people waste mounts and even years in our modern world of information: quite often you have to scan a bunch of information and brush aside the drivel of the scammers in order to find the you are looking for.

Many adult people still wonder whether it is possible to make a fortune. If to look at this question with strict and thought-provoking opinion I should say that its’ possible - especially if you are a highly driven and motivated individual. There are examples of my confidence.

Interestingly with almost any home based business you will have a few people that have a gift of turning everything they touch into gold. They may have been born with exceptional people skills or may be able to sell anything to anybody. One of my intimates can sell you even a rubbish-bin in case you have no money. It’s a talent!

Who could believe a decade years ago that sitting at home in front of metal box will be a profitable thing for contemporaries? There is rumor saying that some of the most popular home business opportunities to earn a million within the first year or two are based in the travel industry.

If you find a home based business with a direct sales approach and based in the travel industry, you have a real opportunity to reach a bag of money. Commissions and profits will be much higher with this plan than with the normal marketing strategy.

Actually today travel is one of the most popular pastime and thus the niche in Internet marketing industry. According to statistics every the second person wants to travel as much as possible.

Hence basically, the most popular home business to help you create a big income will be the one that is the best fit for you. There are plenty of home business opportunities out there… try to find the right one for you… and get started on your path to making those six figures!

Search engines aren’t controlled

That is nothing new and we know that in any career there are many aspects that you hardly control or even don’t control on the whole. You have to remember that in SEO ‘control’ is a rule number one. The worst thing for SEO experts and ordinary users who optimize their sites for search engines is the very search engines that frequently change their algorithms and what is even worse – these changes are not made public, so even the greatest SEO professionals admit that they make a lot of sophisticated ’surveys’ about how search engines work. Wlile you’re doing everything properly and are about reaching a good result you discover that search engine has changed the alorithm and your simply fails and sinks on the 100 positions down. It really hurts. But the worst part is that you need to report this unexpactable changes to clients, who are not satisfied with their sinking ratings.

Everything is ambiguous

You have to understand the fact that search engine is machine and it can’t be brought to court if you feel offended with it. Probably this will change over time but currently the rule is that there are no rules – or at least not written ones. You have to obey to machine not vise versa. You can work overtime, sweating and exerting force. It turns out that everything that looks like a rule and still success is not coming. I have been registed on Digital Point and I’ve read a lot about webmasters, SEO experts and ordinary people who aren’t satisfied with search engine perfomance. The last thing you should remember is that search engines are not obliged to rank high sites that have made efforts to get optimized.

PR changes dramatically

Imagine that you have managed to get to the top for a particular keyword, adhering the position requires constant efforts. So everything seems to be good and reliable until an angry customer starts shouting at you cause this week their ratings are sinking and of course this is all your fault.

Be patient while doing SEO

One day I managed to promote my site and get it to the top in SERP’s. Would you believe I did it during one day??? It was a great thing, I was so amazed and shocked! I could hardly believe that but then… I woke up and realized that it was just my sick dream. Both the SEO expert and customers need to understand that SEO takes constant effort and time. It could take months to move ahead in the ratings, or to build tens of links. Eventually, if you cease optimizing for some time, most likely you will experience a considerable drop in ratings. You need lots of motivation and patience not to give up when things are not going your way.

Black hat approach

Black hat SEO is probably one of the biggest concerns for the would-be SEO practitioner. Fraud and unfair competition are present in any business area and those who are good and ethical suffer from this. But black hat SEO is still pretty widespread. To be true search engines penalize black hat practices but still black hat SEO is a major concern for this industry.
To sum it up it’s up to you to decide what to choose! Good luck…Summer is coming…are you ready?

Good day! Today I have decided to write an article about popular issue – is SEO so profitable and reliable to perceive it as permanent recourse of money and as a carrier in general. You may ask me why not? And you’ll be right. Today it’s difficult to image that there was the time when SEO was not a separate profession – web masters just performed some basic SEO for the sites they managed and that was all. Then the technological revolution blew up. The sites changed their destination, they spread and expanded growing and making money. Thus it became more reasonable to hire a dedicated SEO specialist than to have the web master do it. Needless to say that today the demand for skilled and experienced SEO experts is high and is constantly on the rise.

There are many living proofs that SEO is a viable business. What’s more there are many people who just make their living due to SEO and someone made a fortune.
Search engine optimization is a job that has a huge advantage – it can be combined with your current job in company and also can be practiced while working for a company or as a solo practitioner. You know that there are many job boards like Dice and Craigslist that publish SEO job advertisements. In comparison with marketers, developers and disigners many SEO expert earn much more money. Salaries over $80K per annum are not an exception for SEO jobs.
Devoting time and efforts to SEO practice you can make even more money. Almost all freelance sites have sections for SEO services and offers for $50 an hour it’s normal. If you are strong in SEO and afraid of working on your own, you can start a SEO job, learn a bit and then start your own company. There are great forums as digitalpoint and sitepoint that can be a good tutor in learning SEO.
If you already feel confident that you know a lot about SEO, you can take this quiz and see how you score. Well, don’t get disillusioned if you didn’t pass – here is a great checklist that will teach you a lot, even if you are already familiar with SEO.
Plenty of companies offer vital solutions that include Web design, Web development and SEO. In fact, many clients expect that when they hire somebody to promote their blog or site, they think that site will be SEO friendly, so if you are good both as a designer and a SEO expert, you will be a truly valuable professional.
On the other hand, many other companies are dealing with SEO only because they feel that this way they can concentrate their efforts on their major strength – SEO, so you can factor into consider this possibility as well.

The Web has changed the way companies do business. SEO has become a real mediator between marketers and advertisers, publishers and web masters, so to some extent today’s marketers and advertisers need to have at least some SEO knowledge if they want to be successful.
People who come from design, development or web administration may perceive SEO not technical enough and they even might feel that they will downgrade if they move to SEO. Don’t be so nervous about this – you can learn a LOT from SEO, so if you are a talented technician, you are not downgrading but you are actually upgrading your skills storage.

Finally, I should say some encouraging words for SEO newbies. If you need some more proof that SEO is a great career, have a look at the available courses and exams for SEO practice. Well, they might not have an international certification but still they help to institutionalize the SEO profession.
P.S. The next my post will be about ugly aspects of SEO. See you!

A lot of my friends are keen on web development. This job is pretty interesting but it has a lot of delicate issues. Actually working with your PC, sitting in front of the screen and surfing different sites seems to be much easier when it comes to communicating with alive people. You have to know that people have emotions, ambitions and sometimes difficult nature. Interestingly that despite your area of expertise, there comes a time in each web developers experience when you have to tell a client that their site, to put it plainly foolish and lousy. I have been working with clients through telephone service, e-mail, fax for at least 7 years. Due to my acquired skills I should say that I’ve discovered the hard way that the direct approach isn’t always the best way to inform a client about his not good site.

Amazingly that even if, deep down, the clients know their site is a rubbish-bin, the thing is that they often have a lot of time and money invested in it, and are desperately bound to be defensive and insistent when it comes to web developer’s criticism. In this respect the problem is evident: occasionally clients need to know the truth, no matter in which way they’re told about it. What’s your manner of telling the truth? At first try to be positive even if you have found many disadvantages and weaknesses of the client’s site. Remember that any bad news, sometimes should be eased. What’s more start with a little good news first. To be honest it’s difficult to face a hopeless site that can’t be salvaged. Try to avoid your first reaction and take a good look at what your client is doing right. Even the worst website might have a proper navigation plan, good copy, or a solid architecture.

Eventually, your job as an internet consultant, whether you’re a designer, usability specialist, or SEO expert is targeted at helping to your client’s business advance. So while you’re breaking the bad news, adhere to the business case: gently explanation, point by point, why the site is hurting your client’s practical result.
Especially when you’re talking about design, it’s easy to bewilder your client opinion with fact. Tell your criticisms in a delicate way, whenever possible, and impersonal. To add, be especially cautious around issues that involve personal taste and opinion, such as color schemes. Even if the truth in on your side the client can perceive your remarks as offensive and useless.
The best method is to hold things from getting personal is to bring in a 3rd party buffer. For a large campaign, this might mean an in-person resource, but often it just means citing online articles, market facts, or other industry experts.

To conclude when you’re a paid consultant, everything has to come back to solutions. The best way to soften bad news is to be prepared to tell your client how to solve the problem. Ultimately, bad news only matters if it’s permanent, and providing answers isn’t just a good communications strategy, it’s the job.

There was the great time for offline commerce when promotional products had a great power, influence and multitude; besides they had no competition the online market that has spread dramatically so far. Currently the role of competitor is acted by the Internet (online ads, viral advertising, banners and links etc.). As a rule promotional products are frequently imprinted with a company’s name, logo, motto or message. Both online advertising and promotional products have the goal to attract people who buy the products you want to sale. Which one of these two advertising ways is dominant?

1. Banner advertising (pay per impression)

Promotional products can be compared with banner advertising. Your brand, internet address or product will be placed on an area with a fixed size of space. The pros of promotional products are the better CTR.

The user will see the trade mark of your company every time they use these products. It’s a traditional marketing manipulation but it works. This is like a banner impression at websites. Normally a user will see your banner one time when they visit a website. At promotional products they will see it always while they use it.

2. PPC – Search engine (AdWords, Bidvertiser etc.)

At the search engines you pay for each click a user makes on your ad. A small example will show you the advantage or drawback of PPC and promotional products.

It’s just simple math. A click can cost you up to a hundred dollars in the worst case. It happens rarely but happens. The average cost per click is mainly 1 to 2 dollars. When you have a monthly budget of $1000 according to statistics you will get up to 1000 unique visitors. Invest $1000 in promotional products and you will get for example 2000 pens with your logo or internet address scratched on it. Send these pens to your possible customers or give it away at trade shows. After you have done this people use the pen they will see the name of your company. From the one hand it sounds as a drivel but why not to try?

When these people one day need products you have in your online-shop they will remind of your company. If they visit your site now this can be seen as a “virtual click”. This can be up to 2000 “virtual clicks” and visitors for your site.

Pros of using promotional products:
1. The user will see your logo as long as they use it
2. High CTR and ROI (return on investment) when you give it to the right user groups (Trade shows)
3. People like to receive them

Cons:
1. The conversion rate can be low if you fail to send the products to the suitable user group 2. High investments for several expensive promotional products and campaigns

3. Risk

One day I heard interesting news. The President of one big company said, ‘each newly found client for our business as worthy as a gold bar…’. I don’t remember which products that company produced, but nevertheless there was a real fighting for new clients. Unimaginable discounts, long-term credits. Today it’s obvious that the main target of each company whether it’s big or not is to find and attract as much clients as possible. Actually, according to the statistics each client becomes substantially addicted to some brands, labales and services. That’s why a lot of people give preferences to some brands if compare with others.
Hence, creating your own business don’t overvalue ideas of being first.

Interestingly but it’s not essential to be first to have a good business, and you don’t have to be unique. Of course, if you have knowledge and an idea of becoming special don’t hesitate to do this. But remember that far more important than being the first is just the simple basis of providing your customers with good value. If one person buys a good and qualitative product he always booms and not realizing that he’s advertising it.You motto should be – ‘give good value for every dollar spent’; and that will build return business, and word-of-mouth advertising, and reliable business campaign.
Don’t bother yourself whether you’re the first; otherwise ask yourself if you can get customers? Will they be satisfied and pleased with your product or service, will they recommend you to other potential clients, and come back for more? If you know all this, then you can start up a business even if you aren’t the first.
Relatively a little successful start-ups depend on the ideas or uniqueness. What matters is doing it, starting it up, carrying it through. You know when Apple Computer started its carrier? In 1976, when thousands of people had the same idea. It was that very time for that very idea, as volcanic eruption — the irreversible process. Altair and MIPS were already working. Every guy in the country who knew about computers talked about it in their meetings. Jobs and Wozniak, however, did it. They found the resources, hired staff, took the risks and started up.
There are plenty of bright examples. Was Federal Express patentable? No it wasn’t, but they did it. Look at Amazon.com; it was a good idea to sell goods over Internet, but easily copied. In that case they were aware of stiff competition, so they had to move fast and gain visibility very quick, to pre-empt business rivals. How about fast food cafes? By the time you’ve had a good idea, so have many thousands of people. Build some preference firstly, implement the idea into reality and work with it, bear down and make it function.
